Water-Lithium Bromide Solution is transparent liquid, salty, non-toxic, appear faint yellow color after adding LiGrO, solubility in water reduces while temperature goes up. Water-Lithium Bromide Solution is of strong hygroscopicity, low heat specific capacity, high viscosity, heat transfer rate reduces while the concentration rate goes up, but increases while the temperature goes up. LiBr water solution is corrosive to copper and back metals, especially with air available. 
 

Application

Lithium bromide is widely used as a salt in absorption chilling along with water. It's also used in air-conditioning systems as desiccant, and applied as a reagent in organic synthesis.
