Colorless transparent viscous liquid, sweet in taste, hygroscopic. Miscible with water, low grade aliphatic alcohols, glycerol, acetic acid,  and similar ketones, aldehydes, similar bases, slightly soluble in ether, almost insoluble in benzene and its congeners, chlorinated hydrocarbons.

 

Application

1. Used for making polyester fiber, polyester resin, dehumidifying agents, plasticizers, surfactants, synthetifibers,
2. Can be used as a dye / ink solvent, the preparation of the engine antifreeze, gas dehydration.For the production of synthetic resin, PET, or polyester fiber grade PET, bottle grade PET film used to produce mineral water bottles.
3. Can also produce alkyd resins, also used as antifreeze.
